In 2004, Spiegelau was purchased by Georg Riedel, the owner of Riedel Glass Works,

and is now part of the Riedel Glass Works, and is now part of the Riedel/ Nachtmann/ Spiegelau Group.

Spiegelau´s unrelenting commitment to excellence combined with its ability to innovate and

still remain accessible has allowed the company to endure and prosper where so many other glass manufacturers have melted away like so much molten glass.

Spiegelau combines over five centuries of hand craftsmanship and innovation with the most

advanced modern glass making technologies to produce superb glasses that are ideally suited for today´s wine lovers.

In addition, Spiegelau also preserves the age old craft of hand blown glass. By working closely with sommeliers, chefs and consumers, Spiegelau has truly personalized the wine experience, creating a sturdy-yet-fine wine glass for every taste and need.

Spiegelau is well known for it’s durability and an independent study certified Spiegelau as “extremely dishwasher safe” after a 1500 dishwasher cycle test found no scratching, markings, loss of brilliance, change in colour or build up of water chemicals and residue.
