Account Manager

Sophie brings over five years experience in public relations, communications and marketing to Winestream, with a flair for the areas of tourism and travel.

Sophie comes from a diverse PR agency and in-house background and has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. After successfully completing a BA (Hons) in Art History and Theory and History (combined) from the University of Otago and a Graduate Diploma in Communication and PR from The Auckland University of Technology, she began her career in business communications PR working with clients MasterCard, Emirates and Chevron Texaco at Professional Public Relations in Auckland.

After moving to Sydney in 2006, Sophie joined Tourism New Zealand. A proud kiwi, Sophie relished the opportunity to market and promote New Zealand internationally as a visitor destination. Sophie extended her knowledge of tourism and travel PR further by working in the Tourism New Zealand London office in 2008.

Whilst in London, Sophie stepped out of the tourism industry working in generalist communications roles to broaden her skills base but realised her calling was in a tourism-related field.

As a lover of wine, food, art and culture Sophie fits seamlessly into the Winestream team.
